A New Hope
My name is James 'swfblade' Pennells and I run FluxMe. It all began many moons ago, when a certain William J. Barber happened across a new MMORPG venture, called Jumpgate (or JGC, Jumpgate Classic). I was fortunate enough to be working with said Barber at the time and he recommended that I Joined up this new game, at that stage in its open BETA.
The Empire Strikes Back
3 years later and I was a Quantar Optimus, founder of a reasonably successful Squad and my social and private life was slipping down the tube...This was when I decided enough was enough and stopped playing. I occasionally still logon from time to time just to see how things are doing, but its never quite the same as it was, back in the glory days, pre Episode 2... I moved on. I started playing EvE. O. My. God. That has to be the most boring version of Microsoft Mine Simulator that I have ever played. Yet I stuck to it for about a year, then on and off for the next, but havent touched it for quite some time now. No other MMORPG has captured me, or the essence of JGC back in the day. Of course it did have it's benefits. I became a closer friend of a squad mate, who I already knew in the "Real world" and now I'm engaged to his Sister. Cool.
Return of the Jedi, I mean JG
Cue 2007. I was contacted by another former squad mate who was bouncing off the virtual walls! OMG!! JG IS COMING BACK!! Eh? Wha....? I clicked a link he sent me, not expecting to be excited at all.... Jumpgate Evolution Beta Signup! Woah. Ok, i was starting to feel something, I looked into it some more.... and some more.... and.... well. Lets just say I brought back my old Domain name that I had for a squad site for JGC and here we are! Flux.me.uk is back baby! YEAH! Bring on JG:E!
